Hi, my name is Festus! I am a dapper older gentleman, about 10 years old and weighing in at 19 lbs. I make a wonderful house dog and am thriving in my foster home. I share my foster home with both big and small dogs, several cats, and two small human children. I LOVE everyone and gets along beautifully.

I have plenty of playful energy, and enjoy wrestling with my young dachshund foster brother. I am very skilled at taking long naps in the sun – I have perfected this to an art form level as only pug can. I am house trained and know to ring the bell on the back door to ask to go out. I enjoy chewing on bones occasionally and love to go for walks. All of this is remarkable because I am blind. My foster parents suspect I may be able to see some bright lights, but anything else is unlikely. Not to worry, this doesn’t slow me down in the least!

Even in a new place, with brand new dogs, I am continually wagging my tail and will happily greet everyone. I do hear very well, and is quite good at following my foster humans. I am an affectionate, happy go lucky little fellow, and if you are looking for a charming older man to add some love to your life, I just might be your guy.

I am blind because I has dry eye, a common ailment in pugs. I require drops to both eyes twice a day to protect my eyes so that they stay healthy and don’t get injured. I am absolutely perfect for my eye drops, and really appreciate them!

I would love to meet you, so mention me on your application!
