Mission Statement: We Rescue ALL Pugs Regardless of Age or Medical Condition. - No Pug Left Behind

2023 Annual Pug-O-Ween Sponsorship

DFW Pug Rescue Club is a charitable, non-profit corporation focused on rescuing, caring for, and placing unwanted, mistreated, and homeless pugs. We are one of the largest pug rescue organizations in the United States, and we rescue ALL pugs regardless of age or medical condition.

It is that time of year again when we begin looking forward to our annual Pug-O-Ween fundraiser. This year’s Pug-O-Ween will be held on October 29, 2023, from noon to 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 11:30). We invite you to attend the event with your canine companion(s) and sponsor DFW Pug Rescue Club so that we can continue our mission of No Pug Left Behind. Your attendance and sponsorship allow us to continue rescuing, caring for, and placing unwanted, mistreated, and homeless pugs.

Pug-O-Ween is a fun festival for dog lovers. Dogs of all breeds are welcome, and since it’s Halloween, costumes for dogs and their humans are encouraged. Vendors promoting products are featured at the event, Pug-O-Ween is attended by pugs/dogs and their humans from all walks of life. Attendance is estimated between 600 – 900 participants. The main attraction for the event is, of course, the pugs. Pugs and all dog breeds are encouraged to enter the costume contest, and prizes are given to the winners. Prize sponsorships are available as well. If you have any questions, please get in touch with

Our biggest expense each year is veterinary care. With more and more pugs coming into rescue, our budget is stretched thinner than ever, which means that some pugs may need more care. Post-pandemic, our pug rescue has experienced an influx of pugs coming into the rescue unlike anything experienced previously. On average, since January 2023, DFW Pug Rescue Club has received one abandoned or surrendered pug per day. DFW Pug Rescue Club is supported solely by donations. Our pugs depend on your generosity and kindness to alleviate their circumstances. Now, more than ever, we need your support to continue our mission.
