Story

Six-year-old Jake is a laid-back, black sweetheart with the gentlest soul. Mostly blind and deaf, he navigates life with determination and charm—earning the nickname “little Roomba” as he roams, bumps, readjusts, and keeps going. Jake is incredibly affectionate and happiest cuddled up with his humans or snuggled against a dog buddy. He’s a true companion with a heart of gold. Jake is house-trained and politely lets you when he needs to go out with a gentle paw at the door. In classic pug fashion, he’s happily food-motivated and brings plenty of enthusiasm to mealtime. He’s crate-trained but does best crated with a canine friend to ease anxiety. Leash walks aren’t his favorite; he prefers strolling at his own pace or riding in a stroller. He sleeps soundly at nighttime and loves stuffed toys. Jake would thrive in a calm home with another friendly small dog to be his guide and comfort. He’s wonderful with older kids and gentle with everyone. If you’re looking for a resilient, cuddly soul who will love you endlessly, Jake is ready to find his forever home.
