Story

2-year-old Marcus is a fawn, sweet-natured boy who enjoys keeping an eye on his people but also independent enough to entertain himself. He loves relaxing with a good chew on the couch, collecting stuffed toys for his little “lair,” and heading out for walks. Marcus is mostly house-trained but still working on marking, and he doesn’t mind wearing a belly band while he improves. He’s playpen-trained, sleeps peacefully in his bed overnight, and can comfortably handle a full workday in his playpen. He’s also great on a leash and enjoys walks and visits to the dog park. At mealtime, Marcus is very enthusiastic about food—he arrived quite skinny—so he eats separately and is learning that regular meals mean no more scavenging. Marcus gets along well with other dogs but could also thrive as an only dog in a home where someone is around often and daily walks are part of the routine. All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Puppies younger than 6 months are not eligible for out-of-state adoption.
