Mikey
6 year old male
Story
Six-year-old Mikey is a sweet-natured, black Velcro pug with a heart full of love. A little shy at first, he warms up once he gets to know you. He’s making wonderful progress in learning to trust and has already made great progress. Mikey loves being his foster mom’s little shadow, following her throughout the house. Mikey enjoys quiet companionship with other dogs, happily trots around with stuffed toys, and loves the thrill of running off with them. He is house-trained, crate-trained, has perfect mealtime manners, and is learning to master the dog door. Gentle and well-mannered, he walks beautifully on a leash and is content to snooze in his crate while his people are at work or out on errands. Mikey would flourish in a home with at least one adult who is home often to help him continue building his confidence. He’d likely appreciate having a friendly canine buddy to show him the ropes and keep him company. While he hasn’t been tested with kids or cats, his calm and easygoing nature suggest he’d adapt well. If you are looking for a loyal, loving best friend, Mikey might be for you!
