10 week old male

Story

After a challenging start, 10-week-old Red is ready to explore the world! Red had to have both of his eyes removed due to injury, but this hasn’t slowed him down a bit. He has learned how to navigate his foster home in a short time (while rarely bumping into things) and loves the same activities that most pug puppies do, including playing with other dogs, chewing on stuffed toys and bones, cuddling with people, and digging into his food with gusto. Red is currently working on his housetraining, but he is crate trained and sleeps through the night in a cozy bed in his playpen. Due to his young age and visual impairment, Red’s ideal forever family will have at least one person at home most of the time to help him navigate his surroundings with confidence, continue his training and socialization, and ensure he gets plenty of exercise. They’ll also understand that although he has to navigate the world in his own unique way, he can do many of the same things that other dogs can – he just needs some additional support, patience, and encouragement. We think that he would love to live with a sighted younger dog who enjoys playing as much as he does! If you’d like to welcome this loving boy into your family, apply for Red today!
