Story

Three-and-a-half-year-old Yankey is a playful, fawn male pug with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He’s energetic when it’s time to play, happily chewing on plush toys or romping with his dog friends, but he’s just as content being lazy and cuddly by your side. Simply being near his person makes Yankey happiest. Yankey is nearly fully house-trained, with about 90% success, and is making excellent strides towards eliminating marking altogether. He’s food-motivated, eats enthusiastically at mealtime, and walks well on leash once he gets his initial excitement out. Yankey is not a fan of crates but loves other dogs and adjusts his play style beautifully. He’d thrive in a home with a friendly, canine buddy but could also be happy as an only dog if he has regular social outlets and plenty of human companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who brings joy just by being near you, Yankey might be just for you!

All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.  We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup.
